Flooring Installation in San Antonio: What the Quote Actually Covers
Updated August 2026. An independent guide for San Antonio homeowners. Not a flooring company.
That square-foot price in the ad? It’s the starting number, not the bill.
A real quote starts with measured floor area and waste, then the material and installation rate. After that, the house gets a vote. The slab needs leveling. Tile mortar won’t come off clean. You’ve got transitions, baseboard, stairs, a room full of furniture, or a refrigerator nobody discussed moving.
None of that is unusual. It just needs to be on the quote before anybody starts.
Don’t compare three totals. Compare what each crew put inside them.
